MON STATE – Mon New State Party (Anti-Dictatorship) – NMSP (AD) and the junta council force, that penetrated Than Kalaung Village, Kyaik Maraw Toanhip at about 7:00 a.m. on Friday (April 19), are reportedly clashing against each other.
“There is currently an intense battle in Kyaik Maraw. The junta soldiers raided Than Kalaung Village at about 7:00 a.m. and a battle occurred with the NMSP (AD),” said a Mon news source.
The detailed information about the battle has not been known yet.
The NMSP – AD which parted ways from the NMSP made an announcement on February 14 that they will be fighting against the junta council militarily on and has been conducting operations against the junta council forces and junta thugs individually or making allies with other revolutionary forces.
The NMSP-AD also stated that they will fight to end the dictatorship perpetually and establish a new Mon State where every ethnic, including Mon people, will get equal rights and self-determination rights.
