MANDALAY DIVISION – The responsible person from Freedom Revolution Force (FRF) confirmed that they fired shock missiles at the junta council’s Tada U Air Base and managed to hit the hangar.
The attack reportedly took place in the early morning of April 17 around 2 a.m. using ten 107mm and five 90mm missiles but it is said that five of the 107mm missiles failed to launch.
“We hit a hangar where there were six planes parked. We heard that there were damages. A jet fighter air strip was also ruined. Five 107 (mm missiles) failed to launch due to errors. Junta forces confiscated those when they swept the area in the morning,” explained the responsible person of FRF.
“It was an effective attack, please refer to the official release for the details,” said a PDF soldier related to the attack.
The central news and information department of FRF announced that FRF Special Task Force 1, Kyaukse Revolution Army (KRA) and Singaing Township People’s Defence Team joint forces carried out the attack. It was informed that a hangar was hit and that the details of the damages are still under investigation.
Meanwhile, Mandalay Division based revolutionary forces stated that an entire hangar at Tada U Air Base fell apart after a sudden, intense explosion, that several junta forces were injured and that the junta council is trying to prevent the news from leaking.
“People in that area said they heard (the explosion) in the early morning, around five rounds,” said a resident of Tada U.
Junta propaganda telegram channels also said that there was an explosion near Tada U Air Base on April 17 morning and that the junta council confiscated six shock missiles.
Tada U Air Base was similarly attacked with shock missiles before Thingyan and the missiles landed and exploded near Yaykhar Village which is located by the air base.
