MYANMAR – A 66-year-old member of the ABSDF (Student Army), who has been fighting the military dictatorship since the 8888 People’s Uprising until the Spring Revolution, Senior Comrade Soe Myint has died with symptoms of meningitis.
Comrade Soe Myint, who was serving in the ABSDF (Northern Central Headquarters) of the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front, died on the night of April 29th.
“He suddenly fell from a sitting position. He was taken to the hospital in time, but he didn’t make it, it may be due to meningitis. He died,” said an ABSDF (North Central Headquarters) official.
Comrade Soe Myint served from 1988 to today’s Spring Revolution. The ABSDF reported that he was a hero who participated in the revolutionary struggle until his last day and fought courageously in every frontline battle.
An ABSDF soldier said that although he received many injuries during the fighting, he returned to duty after receiving medical treatment and went through the revolution.
ABSDF released that, during the 2021 Spring Revolution, serving as the head of the ABSDF (North Central Headquarters) Quartermaster.
It is known that the funeral of Comrade Soe Myint will be held with a military ceremony within these few days.
ABSDF is attacking the junta council in cooperation with the National Unity Government and the ethnic armed organizations that are attacking the junta council.
ABSDF has announced that it will stand together with the entire people until the fall of the military dictator and will continue to fight together.
