SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council soldiers have launched an offensive on villages west of Khin U Township, forcing over 3,000 civilians from approximately ten villages to flee, according to Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s Son), an official of Ye U PDF.
On Wednesday (January 10), the junta column from Shwebo Training Camp – 8, which carried ammunition, returned to Khin U Town and launched an offensive on the villages west of Khin U Township.
Currently, over 3,000 civilians from Kan Thayar, Ba O, In Tine Gyi, Shwegu, Kin Pyit, Thayet Kone, Shin Min Dwe, Myit Taw, Gway Kone, and Tha Gra Villages west of Khin U Township are displaced.
“That junta column also raided from Myin Daung Village to Kan Thayar Hill Village in Khin U Township on January 6. They also set fire to the rice store and some civilians’ houses. After that, they went to Khin U Township. Then, they carried ammunition from the Shwebo Training Camp – 8 and relaunched an offensive in Khin U. They might go back to Ye U Township,” said Htoo Khant Zaw.
Currently, the junta column is raiding and firing at In Tine Gyi Village near Pyin Htaung Pyu Saw Htee Village.
