CHIN STATE – Locals reported that the terrorist junta army carried out second-time arson attacks in Mainuai Village, Tedim Township, on the morning of April 23.
The atrocious junta column set on fire Mainuai Village for the first time, on April 21, and carried out a second time arson raid on Mainuai Village on April 23. Almost all of the residential houses in Mainuai Village, which have around 200 houses, were burned to ashes due to two junta’s arson attacks.
The destructive junta army carried out offensive attacks in Pyin Khon Gyi, Pyin Khon Lay, Han Thar, Kan Thar, and Yauk Cho Kwin villages in the western part of Kale Township and set fire to the villages. The witnesses and residents said that those junta forces looted and brought the furniture and household items into the houses by cars before they burned down the houses.
On April 19, the junta column burned down Yauk Cho Kwin Village in Kale Township, near Mainuai Village.
The arsonist junta forces burned and destroyed over 400 residential houses, including five churches, in Pyin Khon Gyi Village in the western part of Kale Township, in the second week of April. Pyin Khon Gyi Village is a village where the majority of Chin people who believe in Christianity live. The terrorist junta army burned and destroyed East Baptist Church, West Baptist Church, Wesleyan Church, Believer Church, and the Church Of the Rock in the village.
The locals reported that junta forces ransacked and brought the valuable items into the houses by car before they burned them down. It is also reported that some of the houses that could not be burned down were destroyed with wheel loaders in the destruction of houses in the village.
A total of 219 residential houses in Pyin Khon Gyi Village on the western part of Kale Township, which has 328 houses, were burned to the ground by junta arson attacks in three consecutive days, from March 19 to 21.
