SAGAING DIVISION – Local residents and local defense forces have reported that the military council troops killed 4 revolutionary soldiers and ransacked houses and shops in Ma Gyi Gwa village, Chaung Oo township.
On September 26th, Commando soldiers arrived near the villages of Min Tee, Min Khaung and Ma Gyi Gwa, Chaung Oo township, Sagaing Division, with 2 helicopters of the junta council. Many people have been arrested and may have died. Recently, 3 revolutionary soldiers and 1 citizen were killed. In addition, it is found out that 4 revolutionary soldiers were killed and houses were broken into and looted in the village of Ma Gyi Gwa.
“Currently, the residents of nearby villages have to flee to safe places, so there is a great difficulty in getting drinking water and food. The army column is currently stationed in the village of Min Tee and the people of the village are being arrested. Some local people cannot leave the village and are trapped. There may be casualties as the army enters the village by shooting. The list of casualties is not yet confirmed. On September 26th, two helicopters, Mi17 and Mi35, dropped soldiers and weapons, then stormed the villages,” local people explained the situation.
U Nanda, Bishop of Chaung Oo township, confirmed that 3 revolutionary soldiers and 1 civilian were killed by the army in Min Tee village where the army was stationed.
“It is certain that three soldiers and one citizen were killed in Min Tee village. The war dogs are still in the village, so no one has received any specific information yet,” explained by Chaung Oo Bishop U Nanda.
