SAGAING DIVISION – Residents said that the junta council bombarded Kapaing Village in Yinmabin Township with three jet fighters in the morning and afternoon on May 29.
“They bombed Kapaing village with three jet fighters. We can’t contact the locals, so we don’t know the ground situation,” said a local from another village near Kapaing Village.
A member of the People’s Defence Forces (PDF) from Yinmabin Township said that three jet fighters bombarded Kapaing Village on May 29 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
“They did it without any battle in the area. It’s not known whether civilians have been harmed or not. I can’t make contact with anyone,” said the above PDF soldier.
Kapaing Village is a village bordering the area of the Alaung Taw Kattha Pha. At 3:15 p.m. on the same day, a local from a village near Kapaing Village said that they heard the sounds of aerial strikes.
According to the EAR (Enemy Air Route) channel, which monitors and warns of military air attacks, the planes took off from and landed back in Tadar U Air Force Base in Mandalay.
