MON STATE – The Standing Committee of KNU Brigade 1 District issued a notice on December 10, asking the personnel in the territory of the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 1 controlled area of Thaton District and the military and civilian employees under the junta council to leave the junta council and cooperate with the KNU.
KNU urged the civilian employees of the military council to leave the military council’s administrative work and cooperate and serve in public service activities.
Similarly, military personnel of the junta council are urged to leave the junta council and defy orders to target and kill the people.
In addition, the KNU urged people to participate in the revolutionary movement in various ways to break down the tyranny and to destruct the pillars of junta and take refuge with the people.
The press release stated that any organization or the military and civilian personnel in Brigade 1 territory were urged to coordinate with KNU and based on the cooperation, KNU will conduct responsibly in accordance with the regulations and laws set by the KNU.
