SAGAING DIVISION – PDF comrades captured the Aung Zeya junta camp in Aung Zeya Village, Homalin Township, adjacent to Tamu Region, on December 10.
NUG released photos of the confiscated ammunition from the Aung Zeya Camp Capture Battle with the title, “The News Report of Ammunition Confiscated at Aung Zeya Camp Capture Battle.”
Details regarding casualties remain unknown. With guidance from the No.1 military region, PDF comrades attacked the Aung Zeya junta camp on December 7 and successfully captured it on the morning of December 10.
The junta soldiers, SNA groups, UNLF, and Pyu Saw Htees were stationed at the camp, and Kuki National Army – KNA-Burma and PDF comrades captured it.
During the battle, one KNA-Burma comrade, aged 25, and one PDF comrade, aged 22, sacrificed their lives, and 12 comrades were wounded. Comrades detained six junta members who might be informers.
On the night of December 8, when Aung Zeya Camp was attacked, junta soldiers raided and set fire to Tone Kyaw Village, where KuKi ethnics lived. Out of more than 300 houses in the village, 17 houses, including a pastor’s house, were burned down.
