SAGAING DIVISION – It is reported that there was a fierce battle between the junta army and the Local Defence Force (NLA) and alliances in Panthar Village, Tamu Township on Monday (November 27) at around 6 a.m.
A resident said that the sounds of heavy and small arms fire could be heard during the battle, and only stopped at around 8:00 a.m.
The National Liberation Army (NLA) and its alliances are trying to occupy the Panthar military council camp in Tamu Township and often fierce fighting ensues.
Panthar Village is on the Tamu-Kalay (Highway) Road and is almost 6 miles away from Tamu City.
