KARENNI STATE- An official of the Karenni Humanitarian Aid Organization (KHAI) visited and provided food and shelter for more than 300 refugees from Loikaw who arrived at Saungdula IDP camp in the western part of Demoso Township, Karenni State.
“We are currently helping those who have fled from the war from Loikaw Town,” he said.
The donation was made on Sunday (November 26) and it is reported that there are 144 families in the refugee camp with a population of over 300.
After Operation 1111, started on November 11, the fighting has been fierce in the city of Loikaw, and most of the locals are fleeing the war. Currently, many refugees from Loikaw have arrived in the western part of Demoso Township, and needing accommodation, basic food, and drinking water.
