SHAN STATE – The town of Nhamsan in northern Shan State that is now under the control of Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) has been targeted by daily air strikes and artillery attacks of the junta council and seven civilians have been killed as a result, stated the TNLA information department.
On December 18, the junta council’s air force bombed Nhamsan at around 3 p.m. while the junta bases in Manton and Maingot also carried out three artillery strikes.
A junta jet dropped a 500 lb bomb on December 16 around 4:30 p.m. and the bomb exploded on the street in front of Nhamsan General Hospital, killing a resident of Manlon Village and three residents of Zaebenkauk Village who have been identified as: Mr. Han Oo (18), Mr. Sai Sai (22) and Mr. Than Maung (33), on the spot.
The junta council’s air and artillery strikes during the battle in Nhamsan that started on December 10 have killed a total of seven civilians from Panlaw Village, Ngonsai Village, Nammawaw Ward, Manlon Village and Zaebenkauk Village, according to the TNLA information department.
