RAKHINE STATE – It has been known from residents that the junta troops burglarized civilian houses in Ponnagyun Township, Rakhine State on December 17.
A local said that 20 junta troops from Ponnagyun based infantry battalion 550 came in a car and burglarized civilian houses on December 17 evening.
He added that those junta troops destroyed and broke into Mr. Kyaw Tin’s house in Sanpya Ward, Ponnagyun Township, on the Yangon-Sittway Road and stole a television, ten oil containers, one container half-filled with engine oil, two oil pumps, two packages of drinking water and then they broke the windows with the gun butts. Additionally they broke into a house near Ooyartaw Bridge and stole a television, a desktop, a laptop and a system box.
All civilians in Ponnagyun absconded to safety after the shops in the Ponnagyun old market burnt down due to the firing of heavy weapons by junta navy on November 24 noon in Ponnagyun Township, said locals.
