MAGWAY DIVISION – An official of the Young Force UG unit told that the junta vehicles that came out of Pakukku and junta’s soldiers who were searching for mines were attacked with mines and there were possible casualties.
On July 2, around 6:30 p.m. in Pakukku Township, between Impin Village and Kopin Village, junta’s troops fired heavy weapons and revolutionary forces set off a fake sound mine at the soldiers who were searching for mines, and the junta soldiers ran away. After that, they used real mines to detonate the soldiers who were hiding, causing casualties.
“Junta dogs shoot with heavy weapons and mine hunters search. Those who are hiding are crouching, it’s like they want to catch the revolutionary soldiers who attacked with mines. After separating the mine-searching dogs with sound mines, the ambushers were attacked with real mines. There are casualties at junta side but unable to investigate accurately. Because there were casualties, they reinforce troops from Pakokku at around 10:00 p.m., and even those reinforcement military vehicles were attacked with mines.” said a responsible person from Young UG Force.
Similarly, at around 10:00 p.m. on July 1, terrorist soldiers who came out of Pakukku with 5 military vehicles fully loaded to reinforce the Impin checkpoint, got out of the car near Kopin village and continued marching on foot, were attacked by a mine. The public defense forces were able to retreat without being harmed.
The terrorist soldiers in Impin village are firing heavily at the surrounding villages with heavy weapons and reinforcing their forces, so the public are requested to be especially careful while going around and stay safe.
