MAGWAY DIVISION – The terrorist junta council troops set fire to Myosoe Village in Pakokku Township twice last Tuesday (June 13), and fifteen houses were burned to the ground, according to local reports.
The junta forces first torched Myosoe Village at 2:30 p.m. on June 13 and again at around 7:30 p.m. that night. It is said that five houses were destroyed in the first arson attack, while the second attack burned down ten more houses.
“A total of 15 houses were burned down to ashes. This is the second time junta dogs (soldiers) have torched the village. Five houses were torched just last month. At that time, nearby villages were also set on fire,” said a resident.
Myosoe Village has 184 houses in total and is home to over 1,000 residents. It is also reported that the terrorist junta soldiers and their lackey Pyu militants looted the belongings of the villagers while torching the village. The junta and Pyu forces have reportedly been stationed at the BBI and EPC compounds for eight months.
In addition, junta forces are also reported to have threatened and assaulted the residents of Sallan, Aigyi, Kangyisu, Pauktaw, Kyunchaung, Myosoe, Ngwetaung, and Chantargyi Villages, who had to move away due to the cliff collapse at Sallan and robbed their belongings.
