TANINTHARYI DIVISION – Locals reported that the arsonist junta soldiers invaded Kye Village of Palaw Township on the evening of October 13 and set fire to the residential houses.
The junta column with around 80 forces that leaving Pala Town along Taung Yoe, invaded Kye Village and burned down the residential houses in the village, starting from 4:00 p.m.
“We don’t dare going to the village and the numbers of burned houses were not yet known. The terrorist junta soldiers also recklessly opened fire,” said a local man. Another local man said that five civilians’ houses were already burned down.
It was reported that all of the residents of Kye village were running away due to the junta’s invasion and arson attacks in the village.
At present, the vicious junta soldiers were in the village and plundered the civilians’ houses, according to locals. During October, the junta troops raided and burned down the civilians’ houses in Yebyu and Thayetchaung townships.
