BAGO DIVISION – The statement issued by Pyay District Battalion 3602 and local residents mentioned that former captain Than Win, the deputy manager of Inngargwa sugar mill which is military affiliated and owned by Myanmar Economic Corporation was shot and killed.
The former captain Than Win was reportedly shot and killed on September 7 at around 4 p.m. near the Chaung Gwa Gyi water dam section 2 and 3 at Paukkaung Township of Pyay District. Mr. Than Win used to deploy junta soldiers and policemen at least twice a month near the bridge of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited (MEHL) office to allege the youths as PDF and extorted money. He used to bully and torture the people, informed police and army to abduct the people, and destroyed the civilians’ farmlands. As such, he was reportedly shot dead by People’s Defence Force of Battalion 3602, Division 1 of Pyay District.
“Former Captain Than Win was killed in the custody of Paungdale police. He was deputy manager of Inngargwa sugar mill. He was also in charge of Agriculture. He often abused people, confiscated civilians’ lands and destroyed it. He was shot in a peanut plantation at about 4 p.m. on September 7 and died on the spot,” a local resident explained.
The junta’s army and police have been investigating the death case of Former Captain Than Win, the deputy factory manager of Inngargwa sugar mill under the military-owned Myanmar Economic Corporation, but the Revolution forces who carried out the mission are safe.
The Pyay District’s Battalion 3602 Division 1 of the People’s Defence Force has issued an official warning that it will clear the supporting columns of the terrorist junta army and eliminate those who abuse the civilians.
