KACHIN STATE- resident of Hpakant said that two junta dogs were killed in a landmine attack at about 6:00 p.m. on May 9 in Aye Mya-Thayar ward, near Nyaungping Hill, Hpakant City, Kachin State. He said that while the military council was interrogating the people and preparing to return, they were attacked by landmines.
“The junta’s council checks there almost every day. The inspection starts around 5 p.m. At about 6 o’clock, when they were about to return, a mine exploded. The junta’s troops were blown up in the air. At least two will die,” said a resident of Phakant. He said that the military council conducted inspections in four places, including Pan Tin Bridge. Bailey Bridge, Hmaung Hmaw Shaung uphill, and Nyang Ping Hill.
This morning, a local resident said that another body was found near the football field in the Mashi Kataung ward in Hpakant. Since April of this year, the junta’s council has been arresting and investigating people and carrying out killings.
