KACHIN STATE – News source of Kachin Independence Army (KIA) reported that terrorist junta army camp at Dahseng hill of Momauk Township in Bhamo District was captured by KIA.
The junta army camp was seized at about 8 a.m. on March 14 by KIA and allied People’s Defence Forces and the junta side also reportedly operating airstrikes.
“Dahseng hill has been taken by KIA now. There were a lot of KIA troops yesterday (March 13). The junta military also replenished the forces. The fighting started yesterday. The junta’s military bombed using a plane and the other junta thugs fired from the hill, I thought it won’t be easy. The camp has been seized over 8 a.m. this morning,” said the KIA news source.
He added, “If KIA is able to seize 7 miles junta camp, 5 miles inspection gate, Nanthpa military camp, and inspection gate in front of Bhamo Prison, then Bhamo Town will also be controlled by KIA.”
During the military operation which started on March 7, more than 20 junta council’s military camps at Bhamo, Momauk, Waingmaw, and Hpakant townships have been seized and one helicopter of junta council was also able to shoot down.
Colonel Naw Bu of KIA reminded the public to be alert since the military operations would be continued and more battles to be expected in many townships including Bhamo, Momauk and Waingmaw townships.
