CHIN STATE – According to the local news sources, a confrontation broke out in Mindat town, Chin state, in the morning of August 29.
It was known that the members of Chin Defence Force (CDF) attacked the junta council troops who patrolled in Mindat downtown at around 9:30 a.m.
CDF issued an announcement on its social media page saying that the commandos of CDF attacked the junta council troops who were patrolling in Bawathit ward, Mindat town, near the post office side-road. A confrontation broke out and it lasted for around 20 minutes.
A local news source mentioned that “the commando comrades attacked the junta council troops by dividing into three groups as the wolf column. They engaged in a clash with the junta council’s scouting group. Two junta council troops were severely injured and shouted for help. The other troops opened fire recklessly into nearby places.”
It was also stated that there were no casualties on the PDF side.
The local news source mentioned that the junta council forces which faced water shortage as it’s been so long that there was no rain in Mindat town, they have patrolled, sent the scouting forces and set up the hidden sentry posts to the places where they can get water.
Mindat CDF also announced that a confrontation broke out in Mindat town, on August 26. As a result, two junta council troops were said to be killed and seven troops were injured.
Similarly, the comrades from CDF and the junta council troops engaged in a clash in Mindat town on August 23.
