SAGAING DIVISION- Between Monywa and Butalin Townships, terrorist military council soldiers patrolling near Tampo gate were attacked with heavy and small weapons, according to a revolutionary soldier.
On April 30, terrorist soldiers patrolling on foot near Tanpo Gate between Monywa Township and Butalin Township were attacked by seven rounds of 80 mm heavy weapons, ten 40 mm grenades, and small arms. It was reported that there may be causalities of terrorist soldiers and screaming and cursing were also heard.
“The fight started when two drunken soldiers were at the Tanpo Gate. As they were at the gate near the Nagarmauk area in the Byote forest, we don’t know exactly how many soldiers were there,” said one of the revolutionary soldiers.
Investigations are still underway to find out the casualties of the Terrorist War Council soldiers. It is reported that junta soldiers fired back with heavy RPG weapons, as well as machine guns, and small arms during the retaliatory attack.
It is reported that the attack was carried out jointly by Butalin Township PDF, the Kannaung Group, and small local defense forces.
