MAGWAY DIVISION – According to the locals, the junta council forces that came out from the industry 2 area in the southern part of Myaing Township took a civilian man who lived in the forest near Wagyi Taw Village as a hostage.
It is said that a family, who are living in the forest and work in the fields between the villages of Myo Soe and Wagyi Taw, three miles away from industry 2, ran into the junta council column of 150 soldiers at around 4 o’clock on September 14 morning and the husband was abducted by junta troops.
“I just know that a citizen has been abducted. We are still investigating who it is. The phone lines are still unreachable. The villagers are also fleeing,” said a Myaing resident.
At the moment, that military council army is still in the village of Wagyi Taw, so the residents of Baw Tong, Myo Soe, Kun Latt, Magyi Kone, Bont Bin and Wagyi Taw Villages are fleeing.
In addition, on September 11, the military council army shot and killed 52-year-old Mr. Thein Lwin, who they had taken as a hostage from Kanggyi Village, in the east of Nyaungnyo Taw Village.
Similarly, when that column entered Kangyiyo Village at around 6 a.m. on September 10, Mr. Myo Khaing (aka) Bo. Lin Mway, the leader of the Nantthamyaing People’s Defence Force, was shot dead while he was evacuating local residents.
