SAGAING DIVISION – The locals said that people from more than 20 villages had to flee because the water level of the Myauk Yamar Creek rose at night in Yinmabin Township.
Continuous rain due to Cyclone Mocha caused the water level of Myauk Yamar Creek to rise and water entered the villages, causing people from more than 20 villages to flee on the night of May 14.
“The stream water level is rising fast. People from more than 20 villages are fleeing. These are villages on the banks of Myauk Yamar Creek in Yinmabin and Salingyi,” said a local.
