SAGAING DIVISION-An official from the People’s Defense Forces of Yinmabin Township said that the military junta council, which killed six civilians from Thae Gone Village, killed another civilian on October 18.
“The junta column that killed six civilians has shot and killed one again in Labo Village,” said an official.
On the morning of October 15, when the military junta column entered Thae Gone Village, the residents had to flee. They left in the evening, and some of the locals were reported to have been abducted and killed by the military junta council’s rear column, which was hiding while returning to the village.
In the killing on October 15, Mr. Maung Lin, Mr. Zaw Thu, Mr. Zaw Maung, Mr. Than Htike Aung, Mr. Khant Nay Naing, and Mr. Thant Zin Oo died.
It is reported that while the junta convoy was arriving at Labo Village, a local man was shot and killed again.
Locals said that the military junta column consisted of about 200 junta soldiers and was killing civilians by shouting that it was the Kyar Balu (Giant Tiger) column.
On October 15, the local defense forces attacked the column, and at least 15 members of the junta soldiers were seriously injured in the battle, according to reports from the People’s Defense Forces of Yinmabin Township. It was reported that the column was stationed in Pauk Pan Phyu Village and Kone Village on October 18.
