KARENNI STATE: Self Reliant Plumbing was reportedly arranged to access water from the spring to the internally displaced camp at the west of Demoso Township, Karenni state, which is about 500 metres far away.
During the summer and winter, scarcity of water is yearly expected. To access water from the spring took about three months. The expense for plumbing cost over 2 million Myanmar kyats, which was jointly arranged by the donors and the local displaced people.
Accessing water by plumbing is in preparation for the scarcity of water expected in coming winter and summer. As self-reliant, the donors are requested and all the local displaced people jointly cooperated to access water. The availability of water from this spring is uncertain for coming summer but still expected to get water in water, as said by one of the displaced people committee members.
All the displaced camps are yearly experiencing the scarcity of water in the summer months.
