SAGAING DIVISION-According to local residents, one local woman was killed and 2 men were injured when a 60mm artillery shell was fired by the military junta troops stationed at the No. (89) Light Infantry Battalion camp hill in Kale.
On September 29, at around 10:00 a.m., the military junta troops fired heavy weapons into Kale Township. A house in the Myo Hla Ward was hit by the artillery shell and killed 27-year-old Ma Khin Mar Sein (aka) Ma Pae Hlaw, and her neighbors, 58-year-old U Mya Pe and U 67-year-old U Lu Min were hit.
“In the morning, the heavy weapons were fired continuously. There were casualties.” said a resident of Kale.
He also said that the body of Ma Khin Mar Sein (aka) Ma Pae Hlaw, who died after being hit by a heavy weapon, has not yet been buried.
On September 27, the military junta troops fired heavy weapons from near Aung Thayar village and fell into Shar Pho village. Four family members from that village died instantly and one family member who saw the bodies died of cardiac arrest.
Similarly, on September 26, the military junta troops and the People’s Defense Force clashed near Aung Thar Yar Village and one CDF-KKG comrade and one comrade of People’s Defense Force fell.
As the military junta troops are firing with heavy weapons, more than 1,000 residents living in the Kale neighborhood and the people living in Indinekone, Nyaung Hla, Thone Eain Su and Myo Hla Villages have been fleeing for about 4 days.
