SHAN STATE-An official of the Danu People’s Liberation Front told the media that a soldier was killed and four others, including the district police chief, were seriously injured in a landmine attack on a junta convoy in Ywarngan Township last Saturday (October 21).
On October 21, the Danu People’s Liberation Front reportedly attacked the military convoy returning from its camp at Yonbwe Bettlenut Farm.
“They came in three cars. One of them was hit by the only mine planted there. The car turned out to be the one with the district commander in it. The commander’s face and nose were badly injured, and the injury was quite severe,” reported a mole in the military (locally called watermelon).
The terrorist soldiers who were attacked by landmines have been camping in Yonbwe camp for almost 2 months, and they often go back and forth.
The Danu People’s Liberation Front (DPLF) stated that they have been keeping watch to attack the convoy that goes back and forth normally. The DPLF soldiers are said to have returned unharmed.
After being attacked by mines, junta soldiers opened fire, blocked Ye U Road, and carried out strict inspections.
The DPLF is currently running a fundraising campaign by selling raffle tickets for five iPhone 15 Pro Max with the slogan, “Let’s help fulfill the Danu dream (of building a raft by buying chilies from us)”.
People are able to participate in the campaign by buying a ticket for 20,000 Myanmar kyats each. The campaign will end on December 12, and the winners will be announced on December 20 (Danu National Day), stated an official of the DPLF.
