KARENNI STATE – According to a news source on the front lines, fierce battles are breaking out in Loikaw town, Karenni State, and the revolutionary forces have occupied most of the governmental department offices.
It has been reported that fire broke out in two places in Loikaw, including Dawookhue ward, due to the junta council firing heavy weapon shellings on November 27 and the junta council firing continuous rounds of heavy weapons toward the civilians’ places.
Moreover, the battles continued to intensify in Loikaw town, and the Revolutionary Alliance Forces managed to occupy the governmental department offices, including the EPC (electric power corporation) office.
A revolutionary news source in the front line mentioned that “we didn’t see the junta council aircraft coming. We have already occupied many offices in Loikaw town. At the moment, we have occupied a fifth of the town. The battles are still intensifying. The junta council troops from Mese town regrouped in Loikaw town. The junta council’s troops’ strength is quite strong, as the junta council reinforced its troops using helicopters. We haven’t heard any surrender news yet. He heard that the revolutionary forces had arrested some junta council troops. At the moment, a civilian’s house was being set on fire.”
