KARENNI STATE – In Loikaw Township, six people including two children were killed and more than ten people were injured due to junta aerial bombardment on Konethar Village by the terrorist army without an ongoing fight, stated Mr. Aung Min Oo, who is doing war relief work.
It was reported that the junta dropped three 300lb aerial bombs on Konethar Village without any ongoing fight on April 20, at around 11:50 a.m. Six civilians, including a 2-year-old child and a 6-year-old child, were killed and ten got injured. In addition, about twenty houses were reportedly destroyed.
The six people who died in the junta aerial bombardment were 70-year-old Mr. Maung Lu, 60-year-old Mrs. Mu Yuan, 27-year-old Ms. Ma Lay, 47-year-old Ms. Ma Nyunt, 6-year-old boy Belnito, and 2-year-old girl Nay Ma.
“It was around 11:50 a.m. when junta dropped aerial bombs. A whole family of six died at once and about 10 were injured. The deceased are being prepared (by the locals) to be cremated and the 10 injured have been sent to the hospital. One of the injured is in serious condition and as for the rest, when we visited them, their conditions are not too bad. But their homes were badly damaged,” said Mr. Aung Min Oo, who helped in rescuing the victims.
