MYANMAR – The Office of the People’s Defence Force (PDF), Ministry of Defence, National Unity Government, released on August 28 that the transferred equipment of the junta council’s Regional Operations Command (ROC) Brigadier General Myat Min Moe were confiscated.
Both the military equipment and household equipment of the brigadier general who was transferred from Karenni State’s Loikaw to Tanai in Kachin State were said to have been confiscated.
Brigadier General Myat Min Moe was transferred from the ROC of Loikaw to ROC of Tanai and his belongings were said to be seized in Tigyaing Township in Sagaing Division.
On August 9, while Tigyaing People’s Defence Team under Katha District of PDF Military Region No. 1 was conducting inspection on trucks and lorries in Tigyaing Township, they captured a truck transporting military equipment.
It is said that 70 sets of military uniforms, 465 bullets, five hand grenades, two Skynet receivers, 150 bags of fertilizer, one Sony brand camera, one fax machine, one large jammer, one small jammer, two PC, four TYT communication equipment, four inverters, one set of equipment, three pairs of military boots, six military medals, two TV, one laminating machine and two cartridges were confiscated from the 12 wheeler.
“Tigyaing and Katha townships are under PDF control. We were also inspecting cars on that day. He (the junta ROC) didn’t come in person but only sent his items by the truck. That’s why we only seized the items,” said a PDF soldier from Tigyaing Township.
He added that a junta captain transferring from Namsanyang in Kachin State has also been captured in PDF inspections during August.
