SAGAING DIVISION: A local civilian died after stepping on the landmine in the field of the Sepak Takraw planted by the forces of the junta’s council in Wetlet township, Sagaing Division.
Around 4 p.m. on September 8, a man was said to have died after stepping on the landmine planted by the forces of the junta’s council in the field of the Sepak Takraw, at the north of the school, in the east of Sakhanthar village, in Wetlet township, as said by Captain King (Bo King) from Ground Scout News Group.
Bo King said, “He was alone practicing caneball in the field of Sepak Takraw and stepped on the land mine, which was planted by the military convoy that marched in the region on September 4.”
The military convoy that planted landmines marched from that village to Sartaung Gyi village and destroyed two houses.
The civilians are reminded not to go back to their village in a hurry as soon as the junta’s forces leave the region because there might be landmines planted by the junta’s forces, as warned by the local revolutionary forces.
On September 7, the junta’s forces tore down 11 houses in Phoewin Tat Village and killed a civilian, as reported by the Wetlet Township Public Strike Leading Committee.
Currently, the junta’s forces are deploying military actions in the eastern region of Wetlet township, which has resulted in civilians having to flee for their lives. So the basic food rations, medicines, and oral rehydration solution powder are in need, as said by the local people.
