MANDALAY DIVISION – Locals are said to have fled away from Leik Kya Village, Ohn Zone Village Tract, Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Division since the junta council have been abducting the civilians and setting up fire to civilians’ houses after the junta assigned village administrator of the village was killed while he was sitting at tea shop on April 21 afternoon.
“That is seemed to happen due to village administrator being killed. I heard the junta council forcibly detained some locals and all vehicles of travelers and oppressed to lie on stomach for over one hour yesterday (April 22). They ransacked the suspected houses,” one of the members from on-ground scout team (Singu) elaborated how around 80 junta forces raided Leik Kya Village, abducted two locals and burnt down two civilians’ houses on April 22.
Due to the stated junta troop, the local civilians from Leik Kya Village have reportedly fled away from the village.
Moreover, the junta council assigned village administrators have continuously been killed in the townships of Thabeikkyin and Singu recently and three junta thugs: 100 households administrator, junta police and Pyu Saw Htee (junta-backed militia) from Chaung Gyi Village, Thabeikkyin Township were also said to be eliminated after being arrested by the revolutionary forces on March 23.
