TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The junta police station and the militia (pyu saw htee) camp in Thayet Chaung Township were attacked, resulting in the fatalities of six junta thugs, according to an official of Thayet Chaung Township People’s Defense Force (PDF).
The Thayet Chaung PDF and alliances were reported to have simultaneously attacked the township junta police station in Thayet Chaung Township and a militia thugs camp in Yaungmaw Village, Dawei Township at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday (October 25).
The attack on the junta police station led to a 30-minute clash and the junta battalions in Thayet Chaung downtown counterattacked with artillery and thus the PDF alliances returned to their camps after eliminating six junta soldiers and injuring five of them.
“Six junta soldiers lost their lives and five were injured. As more and more strategic operations are yet to be carried out by the PDF alliances, we would like to urge the public to be cautious of the military situations and news, and to be cooperative with our announcements,” said the above-mentioned official of Thayet Chaung PDF.
The attacks were said to have been carried out by Thayet Chaung Township PDF, Dawei Dragon Company #2, Operation Daung Min, Thayet Chaung Township Guerrilla Force, Southern Dawei PDF and Dawei Youth’s Defense Team and Dawei alliances Column collaboratively.
Since the junta council soldiers fired artillery aimlessly during the clashes, three of the houses belonging to the people were destroyed and three civilians were injured.
