SHAN STATE – Revolutionary comrades have destroyed Namtu Bridge through mine detonation, as reported by residents and junta sources.
On Monday (October 30) morning, the bridge was destroyed and rendered unusable. “This bridge has been detonated whenever battles occur. It was destroyed in 2012 and 2016. During periods of conflict, clashes and mine attacks have taken place at this bridge. Namtu Bridge is crucial for the junta’s reinforcement and the transportation of Hsenwi Town. That’s why it has been repeatedly destroyed,” said a resident.
Currently, the revolutionary comrades have taken control of the junta camps, strategic hills, gates, and entrance points near Hsenwi. The comrades are gradually advancing into Hsenwi Downtown.
