SHAN STATE – On Sunday (February 25), battles broke out between PNLA and junta forces, resulting in the confiscation of 16 junta dead bodies, including two majors, and a large quantity of weapons, according to PNLA.
The battle lasted from 10 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. in an area east of Hopong, during which five junta officers were killed, reported PNLA.
Subsequently, PNLA comrades confiscated 15 MA small weapons, one drone jammer, one pistol, and other ammunition. A significant number of junta soldiers are stationed at Htam Sam Shwedagon Pagoda Hill and have fired heavy artillery shells at the Me Nel Hill Region and Lwal Wow Tote Villages.
They also launched at least ten heavy artillery shells at Hsihseng Town. Junta soldiers and their allied thugs are using religious places of the Pa’O as bunkers, further enraging Pa’O Nationals.
PNLA ask PNO militants to dissociate from the junta council to uphold National Freedom and it is announced that they will be rewarded if they bring substantial ammunitions and join force with nearby PNLA comrades.
