KAREN STATE – Karen National Union (KNU) (Central) released on December 26 that two locals including a child were injured due to the blasting of heavy weapon and airstrikes targeting civilians by the terrorist junta council in Khalel Loi Htu District, Kawthoolei region, Karen National Union (KNU).
It has been reported that the Painzalote based junta infantry battalion 264 fired one 120mm heavy weapon to Ahlaing Village of Laldoh Township on December 25 and it exploded near Mr. Myo Myint Than’s house, destroying one civilian’s household items and Mrs. Thidar Toe’s house and belongings. Then, the junta army also fired one heavy weapon between Phoeta Village and Yartharyar Village about 5:53 p.m and another into Anarbaw Village from Konechaungwa about 8:56 p.m.
In addition, the terrorist junta’s infantry battalion 264 also fired nine heavy weapons to Yaytwinkone Village, three to Taungkhin Village and one to Chainin Village, firing in total 13 81mm, 120mm and 155mm in Laedoh Township and Sawhtai Township on December 23 and 24. Two junta jet fighters also dropped three bombs at Tonetantar Village and two at Shwengarphyu side-road on December 24 for a total of five bombs.
At the same time, the terrorist junta’s Painzalote based infantry battalion 264 fired five rounds of howitzer and the shells landed at the place where locals work and eat, injuring a twelve-year-old child, as stated in the statement.
Also stated in the statement with picture, the terrorist junta’s Shwewar infantry battalion 307 fired one 120 mm heavy weapon to Thaphanpin Village on December 24 about 7:45 p.m and because of that, one 44-year-old man was seriously injured in Mu Township.
