KACHIN STATE – As the junta forces were said to have been deploying the military mission in Lai Zar District, the headquarter of Kachin Independence Organization/ Kachin Independence Army (KIO/KIA), the battles could break out anytime in the region, so the local people need to be vigilant for their transportation and security, as announced by the Lai Zar District administrative office on July 4.
It was mentioned in the announcement that avoiding commuting on the Myitkyina-Bamaw Road and if it is unavoidable, it is recommended to check and inquire about the military tension in the region.
Moreover, KIA requested the civilians not to assist the junta forces in person or with the properties.
What’s more, it is also essential to avoid wandering around the junta forces, the battle ground and expected battle grounds.
The battles between the junta forces and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) have become intense on the Myitkyina-Bamarw Road since the early days of July and the tension between the forces has been intensified.
