YANGON DIVISION- A bomb blew up near the CID police officer in Insein township on February 26th, according to a revolutionary news source and residents.
On February 26th, around 9:00 p.m., two explosions were heard near the CID Criminal Police Office and Insein Hospital, Insein township. After that, members of the junta council arrived and blocked all the roads, including in front of the Insein CID police office.
“About 10 minutes after the bomb went off last night, at around 9:30 p.m., the junta council’s army and the police set up gates and checked the entire area. For example, in front of the Insein Hospital on Mingyi Road, Insein, there was a very strict inspection. They pointed guns at people and asked them to get out of their cars. They asked them to open the luggage cabin doors,” said a resident.
According to a revolutionary news source, the bombing was carried out by the People’s Defense Forces of Yangon Northern District. He said that the damage caused by the bomb explosion was not yet known.
