RAKHINE STATE – It was learned from the Regional Operation Command Office of Rakhine State that divisional commander Major General Htin Lat Oo and Sittwe Regional Operation Commander Brigadier General Myo Min Lat quarrelled over the massive military defeat in Rakhine State.
As the military council troops are being defeated heavily in northern Rakhine and the war is spreading towards southern Rakhine, the Western Division commander Major General Htin Lat Oo, put the blame onto Brigadier General Myo Min Lat, the commander of Sittwe Regional Operation Command. They both got into fist fight and General Htin Lat Oo broke his teeth and Brigadier General Myo Min Lat broke his nose. It is learned that the military council will form a panel and take action on this case.
“What happened was that the head of the division started yelling that your interns were not working properly. The divisional commander blames the failure of the operations on the Regional Operation commander. The Regional Operation Commander also moved not too long ago. He graduated from the 26th batch from Apprentice School, and the Divisional Commander graduated from Defence Services Academy (DSA). The Regional Operation Commander stated that currently, the brigade commanders are in a situation either being arrested by Arakan Army (AA) or getting killed in battles while defending AA. When the commander of the division blames that your apprentices are not smart, he yelled back. Then the division commander punched the Regional Operation Commander, broking his nose. The regional commander punched him back, so the division commander fell, hitting a chair and breaking his tooth,” said a source from the Rakhine State Junta Council Office.
General Htin Lat Oo graduated from the Defense Services Academy and served as the principal of DSA. It is learned that he arrived as commander of Western Division Command in August 2020.
Brigadier General Myo Min Lat, the Commander of the Regional Operation Command Headquarters (Sittwe), moved to Sittwe in August 2023, and graduated as Apprentice officer from the 26th batch.
