TANINTHARYI DIVISION – The fascist junta army troops at Launglon and Thayetchaung Townships were attacked by revolutionary forces on November 26, the relevant revolutionary groups announced the military news.
The Launglon People’s Defence Organization (PDO) attacked the junta army’s vehicle patrolling at Saung Kyo Road near the south of Launglon city police station using a series of landmines. In the video clip released by Launglon PDO, six junta troops were killed and four others were wounded in the attack.
“After hearing a very loud explosion, we heard continuous gunshots on November 26 night. There was a lot of noise in the town,” a Launglon resident said.
On November 26, Daung Min military operation group and TYC-PDF reportedly intercepted and attacked the junta column of 40 soldiers which arrived at Theingone Village of Thayetchaung Township from the Mawe Taung junta military camp. The casualties among junta troops are not yet known.
In addition, on November 26, the junta council’s checkpoint at Pauktine Bridge at the entrance to Dawei Town was also attacked. Since junta army was attacked in Launglon and Dawei, the junta thugs rampaged and scrutinised two wards in Dawei Town located on the bank of the Dawei River, residents said.
