MYANMAR – Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun said that the revolutionary artists play an important role in the eradication of the terrorist junta council during the “Defending Creative Voices” Side-event jointly arranged by UNESCO and the offices of the permanent representative to UN for Italy and Norway on April 9.
“Myanmar artists continue to play a very important role in the eradication of military dictatorship and restoration of Democracy in Myanmar,” said the ambassador.
He explained that Myanmar artists, despite facing numerous challenges, are strongly willed to continue fighting, using their arts to eradicate the military dictatorship.
“The inhumane atrocities of the junta council caused the Myanmar artists to join those who took part in the battles and some to go into hiding,” said the ambassador.
In addition, he urged the international community to provide necessary support to the artists so they can utilize their skills for the success of the revolution.
