RAKHINE STATE – The Arakan Army (AA) initiated attacks on the junta border guard forces, successfully seizing control of several outposts. At around 5 a.m. on Monday (November 13), AA launched an assault on the border guard outposts in Mayu Bank, Done Pite, and Chain Khali at the western front of Rathedaung Township.
Battles commenced at 5 a.m. and residents from Koe Tan Kout Village reported that there were still ongoing exchanges of fire between both sides on Monday morning. A villager stated, “The battle started this morning (November 13) and AA seized control of the border guard outposts. We are all fleeing and can hear the sound of gunfire non-stop, as well as that of firing heavy artillery shells.”
While some sources claim that AA has indeed taken control of certain junta outposts, the details remain unconfirmed.
