SHAN STATE – The junta council Air Force bombarded a school and a clinic in Rambo Village, Mabein Township, Northern Shan State using fighter planes without a battle on the night of June 1 and the morning of June 2.
“There was no fighting and the village of Rambo was stable and peaceful. A plane dropped a bomb at about 10:30 p.m yesterday (June 1). The bomb fell directly on the school and the school and the clinic were adjacent, so the school was completely destroyed and the clinic collapsed,” said Mr. Yan Naing Myo, a local of Rambo village.
The junta army bombarded the village for no reason without a battle, so the people of the village were afraid and fled.
“The people are still fleeing into the forest because they were still bombarded until this morning (June 2). I heard that there were people in the village who were killed and injured. I heard that six or seven people were killed when the bomb was dropped at night. It happened again in the morning, and almost the entire village of Upper Rambo village was destroyed. The bombing is still ongoing even now,” said Ms. Cho, another local.
Almost all of nearly 1,000 people in the nearby villages such as Rambo Village, Khoto Village and Maezali Village in Mabein Township have fled to the nearby forest due to the junta bombing, and the junta council is arresting the townspeople in Mabein Town.
