MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (Burma) reported on June 14 that a total of fifteen individuals were sentenced to death by the terrorist junta council during the first five months of 2023.
Four women were among the 15 people sentenced to death.
In more than five months, until the second week of June 2023, the terrorist junta had sentenced a total of 730 civilians to prison terms under baseless and unjust charges, according to AAPP.
Among the over 700 abductees are 108 women, 620 men, and 2 LGBTQ individuals.
Among those sentenced to imprisonment, 54 have been sentenced to life mprisonment. Seven of the 54 individuals sentenced to life in prison are female.
