SAGAING DIVISION – Locals stated that due to seven heavy artillery firings from junta council’s Artillery Battalion in Kale Town toward the surrounding villages on Thursday (July 13) at around 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., the artillery shells were said to land on the villages such as See San, Set Kant, Myo Hla and Shar Taw, resulting in two persons (husband and wife) from the family in See San Village died and one 3-year-old kid left.
“The entire family near at the entrance of village got hit. The husband’s guts penetrated from the stomach and both husband and wife passed away at the same night. One son of them left. The kid is now safe and not to be worried,” one of the Kale locals said.
After getting hit by the junta’s heavy artillery shells, Mr. Lar Larl (25) and his wife from See San Village died and their son, 3-year-old kid suffered injuries at his head. Similarly, one See San Village local woman also got hit by the heavy artillery.
In addition, three locals from Set Kant Village also suffered injuries and even though the artillery shells landed and exploded on Shar Taw and Myo Hla villages, there were said to be no harm to people and houses.
Similarly, as the two heavy artillery shells reinforcing the battle to seize Thaing Ngin Station, Chin State by the junta council reportedly landed onto the wards of Kale downtown on July 11, one woman (50) from Taung Pee Lar Ward got injuries at the neck and died on the spot.
