KAREN STATE- KNU-Mutraw news reported that 17 junta soldiers, including a company commander, were killed in the battles at the KNU Brigade-5 area in mid-February.
From February 1 to 15 there had been 45 battles between the junta army and the joint forces of KNLA Brigade-5, resulting in 17 deaths and 39 injuries, including a company commander on the junta’s side.
During these battles, seven soldiers from KNLA and the joint forces were said to have been wounded, but there were no casualties. During the second week of February, two frontline camps of the terrorist military council were reportedly withdrawn.
During the past two weeks, the Terrorist Military Council has fired four heavy weapons into the residential area where innocent people live and work, but luckily nobody was injured.
