KAREN STATE – The Brigade (5) under Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) has reported that 122 soldiers of terrorist junta council and its lackeys Border Guard Force (BGF) were killed and 48 wounded during the clashes in the Hpapun District of Karen National Union (KNU) in May.
There were 200 clashes between the KNLA’s Brigade (5) and the atrocious junta forces in May.
A company commander, two deputy company commanders and three sergeants were confirmed killed among the casualties of junta and BGF.
In addition, it was stated that they were able to destroy six vehicles used for weapons and food logistics and kill six stallions of the murderous junta.
It has been reported that two combatants of KNLA’s Brigade (5) had sacrificed their lives during the fights, while 10 others were injured.
KNLA’s Brigade (5) also reported that the terrorist junta forces intentionally launched artillery attacks into civilian areas, killing a civilian, injuring two people and destroying civilians’ houses. Moreover, they forcibly looted money and belongings of civilians.
