CHIN STATE – In Tedim Township, the Local People’s Defence Forces (LPDF) and the military junta troops have been fighting since the morning of July 11 in Thying Ngin Village, and the 228 Artillery Battalion of the junta council in Kalay Town is said to be firing heavy weapons at Chin Hills, according to local residents.
“Starting at 3 a.m., the soldiers of the junta council opened fire. The whole village is now fleeing. Most of them ran towards Kalay Township,” a Thying Ngin villager said.
The Local People’s Defence Forces went to attack Thying Ngin Village, where the military junta council was stationed, starting at 5 a.m. It is reported that ten Local People’s Defence Forces jointly attacked the junta council troops stationed near the Thying Ngin school.
The Kalay-Tedim and Kalay-Falam Roads have been blocked since July 1 by the junta council.
“The junta council in Kalay Township has been firing heavy weapons towards the mountain ranges in Chin State at least seven times since 6 a.m.,” a local in Kalay Township said.
