A protest was organized in Italy on May 22 to demand action against the atrocious junta council in Myanmar by the G-7 countries.
Myanmar Citizens in Italy, in collaboration with the “Giuseppe Malpeli” Italy-Burma Friendship Association, urged international leaders not to overlook the situation in Myanmar. They called for measures such as blocking the supply of aviation fuel to the junta council, refraining from establishing diplomatic relations with the coup d’état junta council, and refusing to recognize the junta’s sham election during the G-7 meeting held from May 19 to May 21 in Hiroshima, Japan.
Furthermore, an open letter addressing Myanmar affairs was sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Italy. This letter was jointly prepared by local and international organizations and was sent on May 16 as a registered mail and delivered in person on May 18.
