MAGWAY DIVISION – Locals reported that the immoral junta soldiers stormed Sar Pay Village in Myaing Township on the morning of May 6, and abducted around 80 residents including children as human shields.
The terrorist junta column with around 60 forces reportedly raided Sar Pay Village in Myaing Township at 5:30 a.m. on May 6, and abducted 80 civilians including elderly people, women and children as human shields. It was said that those junta forces were leaving from the Pyu Saw Htee (junta-backed militia) base in Tha Yet Kan Village and raided Sar Pay Village with three dispersed columns.
“The residents were captured as human shields. The children, elderly, and women who could not run away stayed behind. They ran into the monastery as they couldn’t run away. The atrocious junta soldiers chased them into the monastery and abducted them all,” said a local.
The brutal junta forces raided Sar Pay Village without any ongoing battle, and most of the people had been forced to run away from their homes. People are worried that the arsonist junta soldiers will set fire to the village.
